The history of PT Indra Jaya Swastika (IJS) begins in 1984, when the need for a container depot that is able to provide a total solution for its customer arose. Observing the demand, Mr. Joyo Raharjo, the company’s founder established a fully equipped container depot.

Resided in 260,000 square meter area and supported by modern tools and experienced human resources, the company soon accomplished its mission to be one-stop container depot.

Series of improvements have been performed afterwards. Being located only few miles from the seaport, the company then developed a transportation department to allow easier container handling from and to the port. The former two modest warehouses have now become seven completely equipped and reputable logistic warehouses in Indonesia. The vast business improvement and the company’s dedication to improve customer service encourage IJS to constantly renew its equipments.

The desire to keep one step ahead of the competition drives the company to seek better management and administration solution. To this purpose, computerized and EDI system are continuously developed since 1990 and has given significant contribution toward the company success. This expertise along with the urge to fulfill the customer’s demand endorses the company to begin managing reefer container. It was in 1994 when the company firstly provided reefer services.

In the year of 1998, IJS was confided by The Directorate General of Customs and Excise as one of port’s partners to build a Bonded Warehouse and Inland Clearance Depot to assist in alleviate congesting in the seaport and handling import matters.

During the first decade since its establishment, IJS has become an expert of handling containers and become a reliable partner to many reputable customers.

Today, benefitting its 20 years of experience in container service industry, IJS continues to uphold professionalism and upgrading service quality for the advantage of every customer.
